A fun group of nine of us via snowshoes, randonee, telemark, and splitboard cruised up Echo Canyon in 2 to 3 feet of fresh powder. A few of the upper cliff bands we would sink to well over your knees while breaking trail. Weather started up windy and chilly but quickly turn into a beautiful day loaded with some nice rides and wipeouts! Snow was so deep that it made riding down challenging except in the steeper areas where you could build sufficient speed. It was nice to meet some new back country enthusiasts and let's do it again sometime soon before it all melts away. *Slides prior to group at trailhead are from 3-10.
